Dr. Debra A. Kosko is a Professor and Executive Associate Dean at the George Washington University School of Nursing. A Family Nurse Practitioner with expertise in infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS, and global health, her career has focused on advancing the health and well-being of historically marginalized populations. 

Dr. Kosko’s teaching and pedagogical scholarship focuses on interprofessional education, global experiential learning, and adult learning models. She served on the White House National AIDS Policy Council, where she contributed to the establishment of National HIV Testing Day, and as a Fellow with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), where she contributed to the launch of PEPFAR (the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief). 

Throughout her career, Dr. Kosko has held academic and clinical appointments at Johns Hopkins University, Duke University, and the University of Maryland.
