Preceptors are an integral part of the School of Nursing team and we thank them for supporting the clinical growth of our students. Through mentorship, they nurture the skills and confidence of these students and provide practical experience with patients in a real-world setting. Many of the preceptors are also alumni and faculty of the school, which is a testament to the cycle of support that exists here and tells us we’ve done something right. We would like to recognize the following GW Nursing alumni who have made a difference in the career development of nurses and the future of nursing education. Thank you for your service!

Become a Preceptor

We are always looking for more preceptors for students of the NP program. Many professionals look back on their education and remember that special preceptor who guided them. Although it requires a lot of time and effort in a busy practice, it also offers many benefits, including access to the Himmelfarb Health Sciences Library, the opportunity to be a guest lecturer in an area of your expertise, and collaboration with other health enterprises. If you are interested, please fill out the form below.
