Chronicle of an Uncertain Time
Film Screening & Panel DiscussionThe GW Nursing Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion presents a film screening and panel discussion of the documentary, Chronicle of an Uncertain Time. Created for the Center of Hispanic Excellence at the University of Puerto Rico Medical School, this film captures the experience of first year medical students during the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges they faced with online learning during the government shutdown. It also illustrates the effects the pandemic has had on the Puerto Rican society as a whole with an emphasis on the social determinants of health in the country.
Directly following the screening, Juliana Gonzalez-McLean, Ph.D., M.Ed., Associate Dean for Diversity Equity & Inclusion, will host a panel discussion with the film's creators with opportunities to ask questions.
