The Office of Research (OR) at the George Washington University School of Nursing empowers faculty to pursue innovative research that advances health and equity. The office provides comprehensive support at every stage of the research process—from idea development and funding to implementation and dissemination. By fostering collaboration, offering expert guidance, and connecting researchers with resources, the Office of Research helps turn ideas into impactful studies that improve health outcomes and strengthen the future of nursing science.
Faculty at the School of Investigators are funded by federal and foundation sources. Faculty research focus areas include aging, chronic disease management, community health and disease prevention, health disparities, health policy, and nursing education.

MySHARE+ is a mobile health intervention using mailed HPV self-sampling, tailored education, digital engagement, and patient navigation to improve cervical cancer prevention and follow-up care among women living with HIV and other underserved, never- or under-screened populations.
