Picking Up Your GWorld Card
GWorld cards will be delivered to the VSTC testing center on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays to coincide with GW Transportation pick up of COVID-19 test samples. GWorld cards will be held at the security office on the first floor of Enterprise Hall. Students and employees must present a U.S. government ID to pick up their GWorld card.
What is a GWorld Card?
The GWorld card is your official photo ID card at GW. Your card serves as your identification and allows you to access buildings and services on campus. Any student taking in-person classes MUST have an active GWorld Card.
How to Create Your GWorld Card
All students MUST submit their photo and a copy of their US government photo ID online to receive a GWorld Card. You should have already received a separate email from the GWorld Office with a link and instructions on how to submit your ID card photo. The email includes a link that provides easy upload instructions and a full list of photo requirements. When you upload your photo and ID for review, you will receive a follow-up email that will confirm whether your photo is approved or if you need to resubmit due to your photo not meeting all requirements.
Photo Submission Deadline
Please submit your photo by August 21 to ensure it can be approved and printed prior to the start of the Fall 2021 semester. Note, you will receive your GWorld Card at the Virginia Science & Technology Campus on the first day of your scheduled in-person activities.
Lost GWorld Card
If you are a returning student and have lost your GWorld Card, complete this GWorld Replacement Form to request a new card. Please allow 2 business days for processing your request.
